The Lead Company offers a seminar based lead generation programme, where we invite business owners in your chosen postcode areas, to a seminar on a variety of topics. We do all your marketing, from start to finish, from designing, creating and sending your personalised marketing materials – to handling the replies. All you have to do is to send them confirmation – we even create the Powerpoint presentation for you!

Not only is there the cost of the printing, postage, and mailing lists, but more importantly is the demand on your time. Worse still, you can never anticipate how many leads will be generated.

Imagine you could agree with the Post Office that you would not pay for the mailing but would only pay for each reply you received. Sound good? Well, you will be glad to hear that this is, in essence, the basis of our lead generation concept.

You pay for nothing but results – Let us take the risks

Organising your campaign requires a substantial investment from us in both time and money since our responsibilities include:

  • Typesetting, artwork and design of your advertising materials
  • Printing costs
  • Mailing list costs
  • Cost of marketing including direct mail, fax, telemarketing and email /
  • Call handling, collation, data entry and processing / filtering of replies
  • Production of a high quality Powerpoint presentation

We will recommend the topic areas that generate the best response rates. Currently these include SSASs, SIPPs, IHT, Trusts, EIS and VCTs. The Powerpoint presentation supplied contains full speakers notes on each topic. We supply you with a presentation using high quality images, sounds, and backgrounds, which you can then modify to match your own requirements. You are then totally at liberty to run the seminar how you feel appropriate.

Your only investment is a fee to reserve your participation in a selected postcode area or areas and any leads you select. The cost is a £495 reservation fee to secure a postcode area for each campaign and £37.50 per lead. The total cost of a campaign in a single reserved area would be £1245 plus VAT if you took 20 leads. The cost is likely to be much less than if you were to do your own mail shot and best of all we take the risk and you pay for results. We will endeavour to generate you between 10 and 20 leads per campaign area reserved.

Let us write your advertising and marketing copy to achieve the results you want

With over twenty years of experience of producing advertising material that generates results you can be sure that we will find you the quality leads you want. We will design all materials that are necessary to invite business owners and company directors to your seminar. We will need you to tell us where and when you wish to run the seminars and for you to approve the final promotional materials.

The seminars are promoted in our name, and our literature will list you, as the key speakers. For each promotion we recommend you hold one or two seminars over two weeks, of about 10 people each. Best results are achieved when you run seminars at lunchtime (and offer a light lunch) and late afternoon (4pm to 6pm), on separate days. Seminars held on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday tend to be most effective. We will ask you to specify what dates and times you wish to run the seminars for each campaign before sending out any marketing on your behalf.

Seminars should last approximately 2 hours, one hour for the presentation, 30 minutes questions and answers, and the remainder discussing people's personal needs over refreshments.

The key is to remember that our whole concept is ‘flexible’. You are free to add, delete or change any topics or content. We provide you with the presentation as a starting point only. This is to save you from having to spend hours starting from scratch.

Accountants Can Help Maximise Results and Reduce Costs

Often it can be useful to team up with a local firm of accountants and to allow them to present certain topics during the seminar. It looks great on your marketing and creates another draw to pull in potential corporate clients. It allows you to share costs and can lead to greater reciprocal business. Whilst not essential, in our experience, firms working in conjunction with an accountant run more successful seminars and ultimately generate more business. We also include the name of the accountant or accountancy practice on your marketing.

Would You Like to Get In Front Of Business Owners and Shareholding Directors?

The majority of leads we generate are business owners or shareholding directors of limited companies. Our mailing lists are some of the best and most up-to-date in the UK. We use a variety of methods to generate our leads which depend on the location targeted, which include direct mail, fax, telemarketing and email. We send out advertising material to enquire if business owners in your target area would be interested in attending a seminar on your chosen topics. Included in this information is an application form that must be completed and returned.

Each potential attendee is asked to specify their main current financial interests. We enter all respondents into our computer systems and send you a print-out. You then screen the leads. Of the leads you select you should expect approximately 70% to attend on the days of the seminars. There are no refunds given for non-attendees since many of our participating firms have found there is a high conversion rate to business of individuals that couldn’t make it to the seminar, since often you will be able to meet with them individually, by contacting them afterwards.

Limited Availability – Reserve Your Area Before Your Competitors!

We can only work with a limited number of firms within each postcode area. The number will vary according to the information contained within our databases and the saturation of businesses in a geographic location. For example, in Birmingham we could work with several firms, whereas in the middle of Wales we could work with just one firm even over a large geographical area. We always try to ensure that a company is never contacted by more than one participating IFA in our system.

Campaign Dates

We will be running three seminar based lead generation campaigns during 2008. The spring campaign will run from the end of January to March, summer campaign May through to early July, and autumn campaigns will be held in September to November.
Autumn 2007 campaign customers will get first refusal to reserve their postcode
area(s) for spring 2008.
